Peruvian-born trio Mary, Michelle, and Joanne Stone are the creative founders of the Citrine by the Stones jewellery line, established five years ago in their Miami studio. The mother and daughter team have collectively gained inspiration from years of travel and education, whilst each specialising in their own field of interest. With Mary trained as a photographer and sculptor, Joanne educated in Fine Arts, and Michelle in Design Marketing, it is no wonder that Citrine by the Stones continually produce stunning yet unique pieces that are a true reflection of its founders.

Citrine Jewellery

Citrine jewellery is proudly handcrafted between their bustling studios in Miami and Peru. The creative process behind the jewellery heavily relies on the inspiration in which it is drawn from and the experience of the production process. Joanne Stone states on her website “We draw from history and ancient cultures, explore movement, art, design, mythologies, and particularly the materials we come across.” This admirable approach has led to some of their signature techniques, such as hand-etched and hand-hammered textures, both recognisable traits of Citrine jewellery.

Commonly referred to as By the Stones, the brand believes in giving back to the world in which it received its inspiration from. By supporting non-profit organisation Bridges Across Borders, Citrine jewellery helps to provide aid and education to Cambodian children. Other supported organisations include Trees for the Future, and Operation Green Leaves, two lucky groups who benefit from their respect for human nature and the world in inhabits.

In conjunction with the Bridges across Borders organisation, Citrine by the Stones designed two bangle sets inscribed with “Peace for Cambodia” on the inside of the golden bangles. Both a set of three, the Citrine by the Stones Gold Bronze Peace Bangle Set and the Citrine by the Stones Pink Peace Bangle (Set of 3) helped to raise a years enrolment in the BABSEA programme for two lucky children.
