Just Cavalli online

A major Italian label, Cavalli has finally jumped on the bandwagon and is allowing all labels to be represented online. The move started with their more affordable Just Cavalli online and is now branching out further. Italian designers have been somewhat apprehensive about selling their goods online but major fashion sites such as Net-a-porter have proven that there is a place for designer products online.

The Cavalli brand is vast. Started by Roberto Cavalli in the seventies, this brand has been worn by celebrities, including A listers for years. His fashion, especially his dresses, have been seen on Halle Berry, Paris Hiltonl, Rachel, Bilson, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, Cindy Crawford, Beyonce Knowles, to name but a few. It actually would be more difficult to name celebrities who haven’t worn any of his couture creations. Roberto Cavalli has been very savvy in understanding the impact that celebrity can have on a designer’s success. A great example is his recruitment of George Clooney’s current girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis for his underwear campaign. Roberto Cavalli was born in Florence, Tuscany in 1940.  Cavalli was born in to a very artistic family  and enrolled at the Art Institute studying textile print. He got commissions from major French companies such as Hermes and Pierre Cardin. In 1972, Roberto cavalli, opened his first boutique in his early thirties in Saint-Tropez. In 1980, he married Eva Duringer who is also his business partner and continued to grow his brand and open further boutiques. 

Cavalli fashion

Cavalli fashion is one of the biggest Italian fashion labels around. The brand has grown and developed from being famous for prints on scarves to being famous for the print, cut and design of evening and casual dresses, trousers and tops. Famous faces have flocked to the designer whenever a red carpet event was looming.
